Rev. Bill Worth, Associate Minister- Profile

Spiritual Objective: To minister with compassion and love to a large, dynamic Unity congregation which practices Unity principles daily. To be a force for bringing the Unity message into the larger community. To be a model, especially for men, to practice spiritual principles in all areas of their lives. To guide and encourage people along their own spiritual paths, but not to fix” them or insist they travel a certain path. To nurture the youth of the congregation, knowing that the world needs more souls who have been exposed to Unity principles at an early age. To act with integrity at all times. To offer inspiration, illumination and enlightenment to all who come through the doors.

Rev. Bill summarize his core teachings as: "Simple: We are all spiritual beings having a human experience – not human beings having an occasional spiritual experience. I use Unity’s five basic tenets to emphasize this teaching, and rely on metaphysics, the Bible, the Gnostic Gospels, and sacred scripture from other spiritual traditions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, and Native American teachings. In my Sunday talks and weekday classes, I often reference teachings from contemporary sages such as Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Alan Cohen, Neale Donald Walsch, Thomas Moore, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Eric Butterworth. I believe strongly in “Practical Christianity” and I teach classes and give Sunday talks that emphasize the spiritual value we can find in everyday human experiences – including those experiences we do not like, or perceive as “bad.” I also believe strongly that Unity is “spiritual, not religious” – that what we teach in Unity what has spiritual meaning to what we experience in the world today. I believe that spirituality has such relevance, but that organized “religion” has lost its relevance to serious seekers of Truth."
