Cathy Spiegel - Secretary
Cathy has been a member of Unity North since March of 2005 and attends service virtually every Sunday she is in town. She says Unity principles have enriched her life in a “continuing, daily, on-going process of self-reflection and spiritual growth.” As a step-mother of two teenagers, Cathy – and her husband, Cass Brewer – “rely heavily on the teachings of love and truth when parenting our children.” An active volunteer, Cathy is participating in the Appreciative Inquiry process and serves on the Facility Team that has evolved from that. She also is on the Decoration Team for the 2008 Auction, participated in the Backpack Carnival, which is part of the Kidsmas Team, and has adopted a landscape area at the church. She has played leadership roles at the law firm where she once worked, and sees Unity North expanding and growing in physical size and connection to our local community and beyond, through outreach projects throughout the United States and abroad. |

Frank Birdsong
Frank has been attending Unity North for 15 years and has been a member since 1996. He was a past Board Member, but after being selected as the architect for the new building, he stepped down to avoid a conflict of interest. Frank has experience in marketing and has been an active volunteer at Unity North, including in the church’s Capital Campaign. He currently is a member of the Good Vibrations Choir and helped plan the creation of Unity North’s Youth Center on the lower level of the Administration Building. He says Unity principles have always resonated with him, and is especially interested in the metaphysical aspects of Unity. He envisions Unity North growing to an average weekly attendance of 900 to 1,000; with a “superlative” children’s program; and reaching out to the surrounding community. |
