Energy Healers are available most Sundays for any needs you might have. Services are provided in the Music Room at 1:00 PM on Sundays. If you are interested in volunteering as an Energy Healer please contact Annette to get on the list to be notified about upcoming training times.

Welcome and blessings to all!  The Energy Healing Ministry holds loving thoughts for each person visiting this website to create and maintain a completely healthy, totally joyous and fulfilled life.  And we are happy to serve you in accomplishing this!

Energy healing is a wonderful experience which usually relaxes and energizes your body and soul at the same time.  We encourage all who attend Unity North Atlanta Church, members and guests alike, to “try it” and see for themselves.   

Energy healing sessions are held at 1pm each Sunday in the Music Room (lower level, behind Friendship Hall).   Sessions usually last about an hour ending around 2 pm. There is no charge for this ministry.  Any “love offering” is gratefully appreciated from those who experience an immediate benefit and are so moved to give from their heart.  All donations go to the Unity North general fund.

Participants sit in chairs in a “safe space” with soft meditation music playing and a candle symbolizing the “divine presence.”  Each session starts with a prayer and sometimes a brief talk about how “energy healing” as a continuation of the tradition begun in the late eighteen hundreds by Myrtle and Charles Fillmore, the founders of the Unity movement.  Participants silently enter or leave the space at any time.  All ages are welcome and can benefit from this experience. Many children are capable of sitting silently for long periods in this atmosphere.  No child supervision is provided.  

Energy healing is a “special form of active prayer,” where a person calls forth the divine, spirit guides, angels, and ascended masters, according to their training, to assist in removing the blocks and imbalances in the energy field of another person.  This is in the tradition of Jesus, the Christ, and many others throughout the ages.  It is like getting a “jump start” when your battery is low, enabling a person to begin or continue the self-healing process.   All healing is really self-healing.

Issues at every level: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual can be addressed by energy healing.  It often serves as the catalyst for emotional releases that are needed in order to heal a mistaken belief that was formed in the past, in childhood, and buried in the subconscious.  So much of illness is emotional based. Participants sometimes see colors, hear sounds or feel warmth when in the process.  Healing facilitators are encouraged to stay in the “allowing” mode to assure that nothing is forced on the participants.        

Initially, a healing facilitator will requests permission to “physically touch” the person seeking healing. After they have grounded themselves and requested divine assistance and protection, they lightly touch the person’s hands, shoulders, or feet to “tune” to the person’s vibrations.  Then they ask if there is a “special need” to be addressed such as a physical or emotional challenge, or is the participant seeking healing to maintain “well being”?  A person does not need a reason to participate, but if there is a particular issue, it is better to express it.  An analysis period may follow, usually by hands scanning a few inches from the body, and/or using the inner eye or from spirit guides. 

Healing occurs when the heart center opens, and the mind chooses the healing vibration needed to alter the imbalance as the healing facilitator is guided by Spirit to move their hands above the body or sometime touching the physical body to flow the energy to the area that needs balance or release.  The method used is dependent on the type of training of the healing facilitator.  Just as there are many paths to God, there are many methods to facilitate healing. After the facilitation is finished, the “connection” is broken and the participant can choose to leave the space or continue to meditate.  If there are few people seeking healing, more than one healing facilitator may work with the participant.  Participants are encouraged to drink plenty of water after healing sessions. If an additional private session(s) is desired, request a card or method to contact the healing facilitator.
