Men of Unity:

MISSION STATEMENT
Men of Unity implements a spiritual vision that includes, unites and serves.
ACTIVITIES
We meet monthly in fellowship with the object of making a positive change
inside and outside our spiritual community by VOLUNTEERING.
MEMBER CONTACT LIST
We now have a list of 20+ ACTIVE members with contact details. This will help us communicate more effectively for projects. Andrew Bonar has copies.
We aim to have 30 active members by the end of 2010.
NEXT MEETING
Men of Unity meet in the Admin Building on the second Saturday of each month
from 8.30 am to 10am
| A Spring Cleaning Day at the Church was held on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Approximately 20 group members helped with many different tasks. The biggest surprise of the day came when shrubs were cleared behind the Admin Building and a hidden terrace was uncovered with a beautiful stone wall and matching stairs! |

Thanks so much to all who made this work day a play day and a true day of service.

... AND THEN THE PROJECT EXPANDED! |

8 Men of Unity volunteered at Project Open Hand (POA) on April 5, 2008. It was a gratifying experience to be able to pack 300 meals for those in
greatest need. After orientation (including a video presentation), we got to work on the "line" and interacted with other volunteers.
POA serves an average 3,000 meals daily to its clients who suffer from debilitating illnesses and has taken over the Meals on Wheels service for part of Atlanta. They also need delivery drivers as well as kitchen helpers. Men of Unity hopes to volunteer on an ongoing basis and we would encourage Unity members to check it out! Giving is receiving.
